Evening Prayer was extra special tonight. When I arrived at church there were young adults waiting to attend. They hadn’t been before. One was a former Sunday school student from long ago, now in college with a few friends visiting, who are Mormon. We talked about her St. David’s memories and invited her friends to share in evening prayer with the group gathering. In true St. David’s hospitality all were welcomed , strangers no more. The gospel sermon was an impromptu shared discussion about the story read with questions woven in from both faith traditions.
It was beautiful.
It was church.
It was the Holy Spirit.
These moments bless me.
Thanks be to God.
