🤝💙 Hygiene Drive — We Need Your Help! 💙🤝

Family Connections and the Ashburn - Turner County Chamber of Commerce are collecting essential hygiene items to support local families. Items most needed: adult underwear (new), toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash, deodorant, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, soap bars, lotion, sanitary pads, combs/brushes and mini washing powder.

Ashburn Turner County Chamber of Commerce Donates 538 Books to Family Connections of Turner County

Ashburn, GA – The Ashburn Turner County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the collection and donation of 538 books to Family Connections of Turner County. These books will be placed in the five lending libraries operated by Family Connections throughout the county, providing greater access to reading materials for local families.

“Reading and literacy are fundamental skills that shape not only our children’s futures but also the strength of our workforce,” said Ashley Miller, Executive Director of the Chamber. “This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting lifelong learning and building a stronger community.”

The Chamber’s donation supports Family Connections’ ongoing efforts to promote literacy and community engagement. By expanding access to books, the partnership strengthens one of the core pillars of the Chamber’s workforce development initiative—ensuring a literate, skilled, and prepared workforce for Turner County’s future.

Thank you South Georgia Banking Company!

It's Georgia Peanut Bank Week! Our friends at South Georgia Banking Company are collecting peanut butter for Family Connections of Turner County's Backpack buddy program. Backpack Buddies currently sends food home on the weekends to 68 food insecure Turner County Elementary School students. Help fill the pantries for Backpack Buddies by dropping off Peanut Butter to SGBC.
