About the Mission:

Al Dunaway honorably served our Country in the US Navy from 1960 until 1969 as a Machinist Mate 1st Class (E-6). Of the 9 years he was in the Navy, 4 years and 2 months was foreign or sea service, which included a tour of duty in Vietnam. For his service, Al was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation and Vietnam Service Medal. After his discharge Al continued to serve our veterans and his community: he was a life member of VFW Post 12128 in Williams, Life member of VVA, Arizona American Legion District 7 Commander twice, Arizona American Legion Department National Security Chairman for 8 years, Arizona American Legion Department Vice Commander, Area C three times, American Legion National Foreign Relations Council for 13 years, and American Legion National Security Council for 9 years. He also served in the Army Reserves, and was an EMT in Virginia prior to moving to Arizona. Al recently passed at the age of 84.

It is our honor to stand in silent reverence as we show respect and gratitude to this hero for the sacrifices made for this nation.
