We have youth boxing and training, adult boxing and training, weight loss classes, or individual training with one of our boxing
coaches, Mark Marquez or Willie Brown. We have a competition boxing team that competes at the highest levels of USA Boxing. Coach Mark Marquez and Coach Willie Brown met at a local Bakersfield boxing gym when participating in a sparring session with their boxers. While closely observing and coaching their boxers, eagerly critiquing their performances in the ring, Coaches Mark and Will quickly discovered that they both shared the same love and passion for the sport of boxing. Their conversation grew serious and intense as they shared a common dream of developing a boxing club and youth center in a community that desperately needed such a program (Arvin/Lamont) where they could mentor and train young men and women to realize the positive effect the sport of boxing can have on their lives and to advance the sport through local programs and national initiatives. These men took no rest until their dream became reality and the Arvin Boxing Club and Youth Center, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non-profit charitable organization was established on February 19, 2013.
