The Grey Tail is a tack shop and so much more! We carry an excellent selection of new and gently used tack, apparel, gear and supplies for Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Western disciplines. The Grey Tail was established in 2010 to support The Baco Fund, a non-profit 501 c 3, created in honor of the late, great horse, Baco. The fund helps horse owners in need when unexpected horse-related expenses a

We accept cash, check or Venmo for payment. Shipping to verified addresses in the US is also available with payments made thru Venmo or PayPal. The store is located in the white Ranch House at The Horse Protection League (HPL.) Arvada, CO. Please Note: HPL is a gated property. You must open, close and latch the gate behind you when entering and exiting the property. Be sure to loop the gate chains around the stakes on the edge of the driveway, so the gate remains open as you drive through. This is very important on breezy or windy days. The Ranch House is located behind the main barn area on the property. Parking for the store is located parallel to the Ranch House on either side of the fence line. And more! We are currently accepting items for consignment and donation. (Tax receipts are available for donated items.) In order for items to be consigned or donated, they must meet the following criteria:
- All items must be clean.
- All items must be in good working condition (no tears, stains or repairs needed.)
- All items must be the current styles (a good rule of thumb for clothing is no more than 3-5 years old.) Items we cannot accept include:
- Riding helmets.
- English saddles without knee rolls.
- Older style wool hunt coats.
- English show shirts in non-technical fabrics or shirts with detached collars/rat catchers.
- Tall boots without zippers.
- Older style breeches.
- Supplies that have been opened (i.e. fly spray, liquid/gel grooming products, liquid/gel first aid products, tack cleaning supplies.)
