Pupdate: "Mowgli dog just celebrated his 10th birthday & we want to say thanks to GRRR yet again.

Mowgli has been my constant companion since I brought him home in Dec 2016. He is loyal, smart & a gentle old soul loved by students & people on the trails, who all hear about GRRR.

Through Mowgli I met a gracious couple on Dry Creek Trail in Boulder who have allowed me to teach on their tennis court for many years. He is like their step dog. Kids & adults love seeing big M when they come to tennis & a parent who met him as a puppy walks him while her son plays. He gets to roam around & protect their land from cows, coyotes & bears!

Thank you for rescuing his pregnant mom & doing such a wonderful job raising him & matching us!

Here was Mowgs at 8 weeks old at GRRR.
Running on a beach in DE on a cross country trip. Celebrating his 10th birthday with that couples dog TJ, complete w doggie ice cream & meatloaf cakes.

Thank you always from me & my heart dog Mowgli!"

Today is DAF Day, the national day of giving through donor-advised funds. If you have a DAF, your charitable dollars are already waiting!

Recommending a grant costs you nothing new today, and it puts those funds to work for Goldens who need us right now.

It turns a medical crisis into a recovery story, a lonely night into a safe one, and a homeless Golden into somebody’s whole world.

Log in to your DAF provider and search for Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies, EIN 84-1430940.

Thank you for thinking of our Goldens!

Pupdate: "Georgie (whose new name is Cassidy), is settling in well in her new forever home. She seems to love living here, but given the environment she came from, she does not know how to play with our other golden, Cody. She is slowly learning to play, so we feel it’s just a matter of time."

Um excuse me, hooman…

Did you read the Kong Daily today??

It says the 2027 GRRR Calendar is now on sale and you should buy 1️⃣…or 3️⃣… one for the kitchen, one for your office, and one for your friend who keeps saying she wants a golden someday. The calendar is step one. The dog is step two. 🐾

All month, you’ve followed Trip’s story. This is the final chapter, and you wrote the ending!

When we set a $5,000 goal for Trip, it felt ambitious... but you blew right past it in a matter of hours.

Because of you, the fund that saved him is replenished and ready for the next dog who needs a yes.

And Trip? He’s doing all the things. He swims. He runs. He’s living exactly the life this fund made possible.

This is what your generosity does. It doesn’t just pay a vet bill. It gives a dog his life back, and he repays the favor by changing ours.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for giving Trip and our future Golden Angels their yes.

September isn’t over yet. If you’d like to leave your mark on Trip’s story, there’s still time. Link in bio to give.
