Her lifelong dedication to helping immigrants, the poor, and the sick continues to inspire us to build a more welcoming and inclusive world.

Someone asked US if WE would like our photo taken during a day when we were behind the camera, capturing video and stories of visitors at Mother Cabrini Shrine on this Cabrini Day! We took her up on her offer and so, here's the amazing Dave Klein who captures the most exceptional video for our stories.

One man we spoke with said visiting Mother Cabrini Shrine makes him happy because of the people he meets. That's for sure.. it was super to meet so many kind people on this Cabrini Day.

Thank you Colorado for recognizing the 1st Monday of October as Cabrini Day! St. Frances Xavier Cabrini was an amazing woman who always looked to make others feel welcomed, appreciated and loved.

Today is Frances Xavier Cabrini Day, observed on the first Monday in October.

The holiday, which replaced Columbus Day as a state holiday in Colorado, honors the legacy of Mother Cabrini, an Italian-American missionary nun.

In her life, Mother Cabrini established nearly 70 schools, orphanages, hospitals and social service agencies. In 1904, Cabrini opened an orphanage in north Denver.
