Congratulations Arvada Historical Society! 50 years old this year!

A very outspoken citizen of Arvada passed away on December 5, 2021. Dave Palm passed away at the age of 70 from complications of covid19.

Regardless of your feelings for Mr. Palm we do not believe it is justifiable to ridicule him on a post his son Matt made announcing his death. The people doing so are small selfish people. Uncaring of how much Dave Palm's family is grieving his loss.

Dave was unafraid of saying what had to be said. Bluntly!!. He cared about Arvada and the effects of questionably effective city council and mayoral direction was for the citizens. He stood firmly against socialist PACs such as Arvadans for Progressive Action and their sponsoring Socialist party Colorado Working Families Party. He believed in nonpartisan local politics. Good, bad or indifferent feelings for him never steered him from his beliefs. He would do more ti help anyone who needed assistance than than most people would do.

We have noticed an uptick in reporting of covid surges. Does anyone see the pattern of creating fear in time for the midterm elections? Maybe to once again eliminate in person voting for the less controllable mail in ballots? Thoughts please!
