What began in Preston County more than 40 years ago with a small group of volunteers has grown into an organization that has cared for more than 20,000 patients and families across West Virginia.

Sometimes a hospice patient’s needs become too complex to manage at home. WV Caring’s Hospice Center provides short-term inpatient care for patients who need additional help managing pain, symptoms, or other medical needs.

As the only inpatient hospice unit in North Central West Virginia, the Hospice Center provides specialized care in a comfortable setting, with the goal of helping patients stabilize and return home whenever possible.
