Hospice care isn't provided by one person. It brings a team of professionals together around the needs of each patient and family.
Nurses help manage symptoms and provide clinical care. Hospice aides assist with personal care. Social workers help families navigate needs and decisions. Chaplains provide spiritual and emotional support. Physicians help oversee the patient's medical care, and volunteers can provide additional companionship and support.
Each role is different, but the goal is shared: helping patients live as comfortably as possible while supporting the people who love them.
