Ag in the Classroom lessons continued today at the Villa Grove Summer Dayz program! We learned about pollinators and how important they are for our food production. We focused on butterflies and made butterfly life cycle charts and ended with making seed bombs to help our pollinators.

The Villa Grove Rec Center hosted their first day of their Summer Dayz morning day camp program today!
They invited Mo-Do 4-H to do Ag in the Classroom lessons for their program this week. Today was all about dairy, with ice cream making!
Tuesday is all about plants and we will be making seed bombs. Friday is poultry themed with live baby chicks and dissecting unfertilized eggs!

The Tuscola Barnyard 4-H club had their May meeting at the Douglas County FSA office where they held their business meeting. Member Isabella Dueker gave a talk on sewing, families had help making fair entries for this summer, and then the meeting wrapped up with water games outside!

A big thanks to Hope Walker for coming to help give the kids some mentorship on their projects and help them get signed up to show!

The Tuscola Barnyard 4-H Club helped their community today by placing flags at the community cemetery for Memorial Day; what an honorable way to serve this weekend! 🇺🇸🍀
