We are just days away from the last days of Artesia Community Chest. If you haven't deposited a check yet, please do so as soon as you can. We will wrap up things by the end of the month. Remember that our Facebook will be deactivated by February 28th, our cell phone will be turned off, our PO Box will be forwarded and our volunteers will make sure all funds are appropriately spent to dissolve. The Artesia Community Chest volunteer board of directors are meeting on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Chase Foundation on Main Street in Artesia, NM. Guests are welcome to attend, just let us know ahead of time, 575-308-2702. Thank you.

It is with a heavy heart that the volunteer board of directors and executive director made a tough decision to dissolve Artesia Community Chest as of the end of this calendar year. A formal announcement will be in the Artesia Daily Press. Letters will be sent to all funders in the last two years. The remaining balance of funds will be equally distributed to 11 different non-profit organizations in Artesia. Our phone number is 575-308-2702 if you have any questions, or you can contact any board member. We will keep this phone number active through February 2022. Articles of Dissolution are filed with all necessary details. Thank you all for allowing us to serve Artesia for the last two years.

We have a full board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 31st at 4:00 pm to be held at the Chase Foundation. Visitors are welcome. Just let us know that you are interested in attending. Thank you and we have a lot of plans to work through.

We just can't say enough, how thankful we are to HollyFrontier and the corporation but also Debbie Rowland for having the faith in our program to help others. Our quarterly contributions will be placed in the mail today, and we'll figure out how to best utilize this gracious donation in 2021.
