One of our on again off again visitors came in today. He’s had a rough time. He had his possessions, including his ID and phone stolen and slipped back into drug use. We were able to provide a shower, a change of clothes and some information about shelters. We were also able to tell him how to go about getting a new ID. He said we had no idea how much those little things made a difference for his attitude and mindset. He also stated how it was so amazing that our little church is able to help so much more than the mega churches! (His words, not ours!😉) It’s why we do what we do!💗

Old newspaper boxes are getting a new purpose in Jefferson County after being transformed into “Dignity Drawers” — free community boxes stocked with menstrual hygiene products.

Our Summer Blessing Bags will provide supplemental food for Head Start families over the weekend in June and July. Specific items needed right now: 18 oz Peanut Butter (plastic jars only), individually wrapped snacks (i.e. goldfish, peanut butter crackers, fruit snacks, granola bars).

Donations can be placed in the Head Start bin in Fellowship Hall.

Clothing can be new or used. Please make sure it is clean and in plastic trash bags. We will take any clothing or bedding not on the list, even in poor condition. as we recycle fabrics to raise money for socks and un**es.

Household items can be used. Please make sure they are clean and in working condition.

Saturday was a great day! We had one of the first Dignity Drawers boxes in Jefferson County installed at New Hope UMC. Dignity Drawers provides free feminine hygiene products to women in the community.

The box is located next to our Blessing Box along Jeffco. If you would like to donate any feminine products to Dignity Drawers you can drop them off at New Hope UMC from 10-2 M-F. Thank you Miranda, for taking charge of this project for the women of Jefferson County. You can find out more information about Didnity Drawers through their page.

Reserve your space for our Tailgate Sale on June 6 from 8am-1pm. Each "space" is 2 parking spots (vendors can register for 2 spaces max; we'll provide 1 table and 2 chairs). Pricing is as follows:

*Regular - April 16-May 20th - $35
*Late (if spaces remain) - May 21st-June 3rd - $50

We’ll have garage sale-type items, seasonal crafts, baked goods. Any other type of family-friendly items are welcome.
