Last night, we got to celebrate some pretty special people.

𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬. From our boutique volunteers and delivery drivers to our event volunteers, Board and Young Professionals Board members, and everyone in between, we are so thankful for the people who give their time to help us care for children and families impacted by foster care.

Thank you for welcoming families into our boutique, packing items behind the scenes, driving long distances to get essentials to families with new placements, helping with events, and stepping in wherever you’re needed. So much happens behind the scenes, and we are grateful for every person who helps make it happen.

We also recognized our 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭, Tyler Mazdra! Tyler, thank you for always showing up for Foster Together and for the way you bring people together around this mission. You’re always thinking big, bringing great ideas to life, and inspiring others to jump in alongside you. We are so thankful for you!

To all of our volunteers, thank you for being part of our village. We know your time is valuable, and it means more than you know that you choose to share it with Foster Together. We truly couldn’t do this without you!

We’re still smiling thinking about everyone who joined us for our Soaring Together Gala! These photos capture just a few of the wonderful people who made our first gala so special. Seeing so many familiar faces and new friends come together in support of Foster Together made it a night to remember.

We are so grateful to the team at Arch City Financial Advisors - Thrivent for bringing their staff and clients together for their 3rd Annual Volunteer Day at Foster Together!

One of our favorite parts of volunteer days like this is the opportunity to connect with people who are new to our mission while also welcoming familiar faces who choose to come back year after year. It means so much to know that our work has become something they want to be part of again.

Volunteers learned more about the Foster Together mission, toured our Resource Boutique, and then got to work packing Welcome Kits for children entering foster care. They became personal shoppers for kids and teens—selecting outfits, choosing toys and books, and making sure each child had the toiletries and essentials they needed.

There’s something incredibly special about watching volunteers shop with a child they may never meet in mind. Every outfit chosen, every toy picked out, and every bag packed is a reminder to a child entering a new and uncertain chapter: You matter. You are cared for. Your community is here for you.

A special thank you to Troy Bixler for his generous leadership and for creating an opportunity for his clients to spend a day serving together. And thank you to Charli Kreienkamp for coordinating all the details and helping make the day such a success!
