We were excited to complete the first phase of our cemetery conservation plan on October 11, 2022, supported by noted sculptor and monument maker Andy Del Gallo, who was responsible for Washington, DC's Korean War Monument and part of the MLK Memorial.

Langley Cemetery is looking better than in decades! Nearly half of the grave markers were repaired in some fashion. More conservation is needed, especially a retaining wall to stem erosion that harms structures in the east corner of the cemetery.

Special thanks to the Trader Foundation for the Preservation of Maryland Burial Sites, which provided core grant support for this conservation work.
