914 Cares

914 Cares 914Cares works to ensure that our neighbors in need are cared for. We are located at 28 Kaysal Ct., Armonk. We carry out our primary mission by:

1.

Our vision is for everyone in Westchester to live a full, healthy, and happy life free from the hardship of poverty. 914Cares works to ensure our neighbors in need are cared for by collaborating, supporting and providing resources to local organizations, educating the community about poverty and encouraging actionable generosity. Distributing tangible resources: We distribute a diverse range of as

sistance packages and items to 60+ local organizations that work directly in their communities, so resources are distributed to the people who need them the most. Impact: Our neighbors have immediate access to the essentials required to earn a living, succeed in school, provide for their children, and live in safety and with dignity.

2. Educating the community: 914Cares strives to educate our community about poverty to galvanize compassionate action. Impact: Poverty can’t be solved unless it’s acknowledged. An important part of our work is to expand awareness and inspire action. Our Programs, Drives and Events provide those that want to help the most impactful way to do so.

3. Engaging the next generation: We strive to both engage and motivate our next generation of committed action-takers, philanthropists, and community advocates. Impact: We are nurturing a culture of generosity in action among our young people, positioning them to make change today, while preparing to become tomorrow’s leaders, donors, and social justice advocates.

4. Collaborating with Community Partners: 914Cares seeks to form strategic partnerships to both strengthen their work and respond to unmet needs

Impact: Our relationship with Community Partners provides us with a comprehensive view of poverty in Westchester. This unique perspective enables us to fulfill needs quickly and efficiently, as well as acting as a resource for our partners

Our vision is for everyone in Westchester to live a full, healthy, and happy life free from the hardship of poverty.

At 914Cares, we believe that care, compassion, and kindness belong to everyone.

This Pride Month, we reaffirm our commitment to building a community where every person feels seen, valued, and supported. By sharing love, extending compassion, and lifting up our neighbors, we help create a stronger and more inclusive Westchester for all.

Because when we share love, we strengthen our community—and everyone belongs. 🌈

Happy Pride Month!

We visited one of our valued community partners, Community Center of Northern Westchester this week.

Our partnership has been built on collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to ensuring neighbors have access to the support and essential resources they need. Seeing their programs and learning more about how they serve the community reminded us of the power of working together.

We are also excited to celebrate this next chapter with them as they prepare to move into their new building. This new space represents growth, opportunity, and an even greater ability to continue making an impact.

Thank you to Brianna Ciardullo, Development Associate (2nd from left) and Lisa Brotmann, Director of Development and Communications (taking the picture) for welcoming us and for the meaningful work you do every day.

When a child has the essentials they need, they can focus on being a kid—learning in the classroom, making friends, and building confidence.

But for many families in our community, keeping up with growing children and everyday necessities can be a challenge. That's why Clothing+ is about so much more than clothing. It's about helping children walk into school feeling prepared, included, and confident.

Every donation, volunteer hour, and partnership helps ensure that local children have the support they need to thrive.

Together, we're creating a community where every child feels seen, supported, and ready for what comes next.

Starting June 1, supporting 914Cares is as easy as a trip to the grocery store.

Throughout June, 914Cares is proud to participate in the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program at the Eastchester Stop & Shop located at 420 White Plains Road.

For every $2.50 reusable Community Bag purchased, $1 will be donated to 914Cares to help provide essential items to local families and individuals in need.

It’s a simple purchase with a meaningful impact. The next time you're shopping, pick up a Community Bag and help ensure our neighbors have access to the essentials they need.

Thank you for helping us turn everyday actions into community impact.

At this year’s Armonk Lions Club’s Annual Fol-de-Rol, help 914Cares fill our van, and help fill a critical need for Westchester children. Donate new and gently-used clothing to ensure local kids have the essentials they need to feel confident, comfortable, and cared for. Every shirt, and every pair of pants makes a direct impact.

Join us on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th at B105/106 and let’s turn one van into hope for children across our community.

No caregiver should have to choose between buying diapers and putting food on the table.

Through the 914Cares Diaper Bank, we provide diapers at no cost to families in need.

Every distribution through our Community Partners helps ease financial stress, support children’s health, and give caregivers the peace of mind of knowing their baby is cared for.

It was a great morning meeting with our friends from NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Behavioral Health Team, who kicked off their day of community visits with a stop at 914Cares. We’re grateful to have the support and commitment of NY-P here in Westchester ✨.

Throughout the month of May, the offices of Assemblymember Dana Levenbergand NYS Assemblymember Chris Burdick and NY State Senator Shelley Mayer collected period supplies on behalf of 914Cares, making a significant contribution to our inventory, and helping to raise awareness around the issue of period poverty.

2 in 5 people report having struggled to buy period supplies, and more than 1/3 of low-wage women report missing work, school or similar events due to lack of access. In 2025, 914Cares distributed nearly 500,000 period supplies to Westchester residents, and our aim is to surpass that number in 2026.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have the support of our partners in the NYS Assembly and Senate, who not only recognize 914Cares’ commitment to serving their constituents, but also back that commitment with meaningful action.
