☀️🎶 Summer is here, and we’re excited to welcome a new wave of young musicians to MusicLink! 🎶☀️

As school winds down, summer is the perfect time for students to discover a new passion, build confidence, and stay creatively engaged through music education. In particular, we are seeing a new wave of more guitar 🎸 and piano 🎹 students into our program. We're excited to continue connecting passionate young learners with dedicated music teachers. 🎵

*Also*, thanks to the continued growth and popularity of MusicLink, we are currently welcoming only students ages 7 and older into the program. We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing support from families, teachers, and communities that allows us to keep expanding opportunities for music education. 🙏

We did it--we reached our goal of 8500 MusicLink students!

Ryker is proud to be the 8500th MusicLink student, starting his studies on the banjolele under the direction of his teacher, Sandra Girouard. Ryker will also be steeped in the rich traditions of Old-Time Music--an essential thread in Alabama's cultural and musical heritage--all while developing a strong foundation in musicianship skills and playing technique!

MusicLink Foundation is unique because it focuses on long-term instruction that creates meaningful relationships between teachers and students, providing both mentorship and musical education. Through continued training, instrument assistance, and performance opportunities, MusicLink helps students grow in confidence, recognize their potential, and take the first steps toward college scholarships or future careers in the music industry. 🥁🎶

Did you know that MusicLink began in 1992 as a program of the Virginia Music Teachers Association? After six successful years of growth throughout Virginia, MusicLink expanded nationally in 1998 with support from the Music Teachers National Association Foundation. In 2001, the organization was restructured into the MusicLink Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making music education more accessible. 🎶
