November Monthly Report

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As we move into the month of November, I just wanted to take a moment to reach out and thank you for your continued encouragement and support. Together, we’re laying the foundation for the Second Annual Dick Allen Festival, and I’m grateful for everyone who has helped us keep the vision alive.

On October 25th in Wampum, Pennsylvania, the community witnessed something truly special — the dedication of a memorial mural honoring Dick Allen. His sons, his uncle, and other family members joined the community to celebrate his life and legacy. It was a beautiful and emotional moment that reminded us why this work matters. The people of Wampum showed tremendous love and respect, and their commitment continues to inspire us as we prepare for next July 24-26

We continue to work behind the scenes — making calls, meeting with partners, and staying connected with the people who are helping to make this event possible. Please know that we haven’t fallen asleep at the wheel. The mission is still moving forward, and our hearts remain focused on what lies ahead.

This is more than an event — it’s a continuation of a legacy of faith, perseverance, and community. With your help, we’re building something that will inspire generations to come.

The Taffy Apple Kids

We’re the Taffy Apple Kids, hooray!
Helping others every day.
With apples bright and hearts so true,
We’re always finding good to do.

When streets aren’t safe, we light the way,
To keep our friends safe every day.
We lend a hand, we share, we cheer,
To make the world feel kind and near.

So come along, both me and you,
There’s always something good to do.
With safety, service, fun, and play,
The Taffy Apple Kids will save the day!

🌿 When Someone We Love Is Gone 🌿

When someone we love has gone away,
We may feel sad, with nothing to say.
Tears might fall, our hearts feel sore,
We miss their smile, their laugh, and more.

It’s okay to cry, it’s okay to grieve,
It’s okay to wonder, it’s okay to believe.
The love they gave will always stay,
Inside our hearts, it lights the way.

Talk to a friend, or hug someone near,
Sharing the sorrow can make it less severe.
Remember the stories, the fun, the cheer,
Those happy moments keep them here.

Though death feels heavy, dark, and deep,
The love we hold is ours to keep.
And as we heal, we’ll come to see,
They live in our hearts — eternally.
