Why RFKjr has my trust
◦ I grew up in the mid Hudson Valley of NY, youngest son of a Navy hero and social activist mother. We revered our families respectively, first and second generation Americans from Denmark and Poland. They arrived poor, proud and willing at a time when America welcomed (mostly white) immigrants to its shores to fill the polluting and dangerous jobs of an industrial boom created by an age of great thinkers and inventors. Funny how we now cherish those who represented a different path, inventors like Tesla, Reich, Steiner paving the organic path to free energy, clean air and regenerative freedom.
◦ My family, coming to Ellis Island and landing on the shores of Newburgh, New York most likely because that’s all the ferry fair that they could afford, my respective families invested their lives in that town. As a child we would go to the riverfront for just about everything from shopping to taking the Newburgh Beacon ferry to get to Connecticut. There would always be a line of seemingly resourceful town folk fishing and netting along the pier, lots of blue crabs I remember, stripers and eels lots of eels. No doubt everyone was taking them home and eating them and feeding them to their families probably as much out of resourcefulness as the need for economical nutrition. I wouldn’t doubt that my parents probably ate plenty of it over the course of their childhood. My mother as a child watched the river deteriorate as a result of the mass of pollution being put into it by municipalities and industry, probably the most devastating of which is called PCB’s the byproduct of insulators and other products produced all the way up to Schenectady with the biggest culprit being General Electric, pouring countless amounts of this deadly cancerous chemical into the river. In addition, there was a thriving fishing community along the river supplying product to market, no doubt in places like Fulton fishmarket in Manhattan sharing these PCB’s with millions of New Yorkers on the daily. Then came cancer. It took both of my grandparents and my aunt as well as countless other people in the region closely associated with the river economy at young ages. We as humans are always a little bit slow on the uptake, I get it, when things seem to be going well don’t rock the boat, but this time it was different, when science began to prove the link between pollution and human illness, all bets were off, and the fisherman‘s association got a hold of a young Atty by the name of Robert F Kennedy Junior to help them fight the polluters that were destroying their fisheries. As an outdoorsman himself, Kennedy obliged himself to take on the monumental task of fighting big industry which he continues to do to this day. From the foundation of the Riverkeepers in that time to a worldwide Waterkeepers Alliance, Bobby has been there every step of the way. He took on Monsanto and although still on the market with Roundup, kicked their ass in court winning a settlement that set a precedent for thousands of people who suffer from the affects of that deadly chemical. In fact, we all suffer from the effects of that deadly chemical because it’s in every breath we take, every bite we eat and every sip that crosses our lips.
◦ When RFK Junior announced his candidacy in the Democratic primary race, I gravitated immediately to find out more about his reasoning and to learn more about why mainstream media was doing its best to assassinate his character. Anytime a dog whistle sounds you should look beyond the words and investigate the reasons, it doesn’t mean that the dog whistle is always incorrect as seems to be the case in most of the Trump opposition, but in the case of Kennedy and his positions on just about every issue Including war, big Pharma, agrachemical industrialization and mental health, he is diametrically opposed to the prevailing political sentiment. Add to that his compassionate plea for unity between all Americans put him in a place that has not been occupied since his father‘s untimely death running for the highest office.
◦ Yeah, you can say he had a worm in his brain, displayed poor judgment with women in his past, was a drug addict, alcoholic and a notable philanderer so I suppose that doesn’t set him off too far from the criticisms slung at Trump. It also doesn’t take Joe Biden off the hook for his involvement in the Ukrainian energy industry as vice president, nor the allegations of inappropriate behavior with interns and sniffing the heads of young children, so let’s not split too many hairs in our assessment of the personal character of all three candidates. RFKjr is doing the hard work of recovery and showing us his truth and why I believe that in spite of his transgressions will be the person who can set our path back on the intended purpose of our founding fathers. I compel you to watch any of Bobby’s interviews in recent podcasts especially those with Dr. Phil, Joe Rogan, or laughingly Mike Tyson. I think you will see a side that is not being depicted, a very confident and competent person emerges with a steadfast goal of peace and freedom for all.
◦ As the temperature soars and countless storms act in ways they haven’t in the past continue to pound away at our country I want you to think about the future, our Children, the freedoms we still have and the fact that we may only have a few years to avert total disaster, whether it be by climate or nuclear catastrophe, continuing with the status quo is leading us down a precarious path of destruction.
◦ While we still have the right to vote and volunteer, this Jamaican plans on doing both.
