CGMA COO Jason Wong and Board member Mrs. Abbigail McCracken had the privilege of visiting U.S. Coast Guard Base Kodiak and U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak.
They connected with the dedicated men and women who serve our communities every day. They met with command leadership, held an all-hands gathering, shared a pizza lunch with the crew, toured the base and housing units, and visited with Kodiak Fire Department personnel. During the recent shutdown, these firefighters faced significant challenges, and CGMA was honored to support these service members with grants that helped them remain mission-ready and continue their essential work.
Visits like these give us the opportunity to better understand the unique needs across the installation and continue conversations about how we can deliver meaningful support to child development centers, industrial shops, vessel traffic centers, and other mission-critical programs throughout the country. In many cases, these programs provide essential services that help employees get to work and sustain daily operations, and without them, the impact on mission readiness and community support could be significant.
