Advocacy is not a sprint; it is a marathon. With federal education policy changing at a relentless pace, it can be easy to feel like advocacy is a series of individual battles. But meaningful change rarely happens overnight. Expanding college access, strengthening student support, and improving affordability have taken years, and often decades, of sustained advocacy.

As Director of Advocacy Sean Robins writes in NACAC’s latest Advocacy Update, advocacy is also happening every day. A counselor helps a student overcome barriers. An admission professional helps a family understand financial aid. Educators create spaces where students feel supported in pursuing their goals. Read the update: nacacnet.org/advocacy-is-a-marathon
