IMPACT Community Trust was registered in May 2007. In Dec 2007 the vision for Star Village was conceived with a comprehensive and concrete mission for capacity building, sustainable income and community transformation of the weakest in the 30 Dalit communities they serve in rural Andhra Pradesh, India. Mahatma Gandhi once said that if a beggar came to him, he would offer him both food and work. If

he refused the work then Mahatma would send him away even without food. IMPACT Community is not a charity organization, it is a way of life, our concentrated effort to empower those that cannot help themselves and be catalyst of Community transformation.

Our Story

IMPACT Community Trust, a non-profit organization, was registered in May 2007. In Dec 2007 the vision was conceived with a comprehensive and concrete mission for capacity building, sustainable income, and community transformation of the weakest in the 30 Dalit communities we work in the villages of south eastern states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States of India. Mahatma Gandhi once said that if a beggar came to him, he would offer him both food and work. If he refused the work then Mahatma would send him away even without food. IMPACT Community in like manner is not a charity organization, it is a way of life. We concentrate our efforts on empowering the rural Dalit through education, training in employable skills that would generate income, and health-related awareness, and very importantly helping them to think critically with the goal of seeing them become catalyst for their community’s transformation.
