August 28th holds a powerful place in Black history — from the tragic death of Emmett Till in 1955 to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963, and so many pivotal moments that have shaped our collective journey.

At Project Hygiene, every toiletry bag and hygiene box includes more than essential items—we also include a handwritten note of kindness.

A few encouraging words can remind someone they are seen, valued, and never alone. We believe that kindness is just as important as soap, toothpaste, or shampoo. Our hope is that each note brings a smile, restores confidence, and lets every recipient know they matter.

Because sometimes, the smallest message can make the biggest difference.

Music has the power to inspire, connect, and care. 💙🎶

From Hampton, VA to Arlington, VA were honored to celebrate The Day That Music Cares by sharing the mission of Project Hygiene—because confidence begins with the essentials. We were able to donate 100 bags to youth in the Norfolk area and 100 bag throughout Northern, VA. 🥰

Every conversation, every partnership, and every hygiene kit reminds a young person that they are seen, valued, and deserving of dignity. Thank you to everyone who continues to use their gifts to make a difference in our communities.

Together, we’re proving that when music and service come together, lives are changed.

Thank you to the DC Chapter of The Recording Academy and to all the members that donated their time to push our mission further.

We take service to our community very seriously! It is the heart of what we do in NoVAC!

Today we recognize our partnership with a wonderful organization founded by two NoVAC Sorors….Project Hygiene, Inc.!

is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged youth ages 10 to 18. The organization promotes enhanced health and wellness practices and takes a stand against bullying by donating essential toiletries and hosting engaging, educational programs.

Their mission and purpose align directly with two of Deltas five point programmatic thrust, Educational Development and Physical and Mental Health.

We take time today to reminisce over the last several years remembering the impact we’ve made as partners united in purpose…serving youth in our community with every event!!!
