This fawn was mistakenly brought in yesterday. Mom was there and looking for her. We were able to reunite them early this morning.

We received these two orphaned fawns last week, but we have six currently in care. Our center raises fawns each year from Snohomish, King, Skagit, and Whatcom counties. We rely on public support to pay for formula and medication for these and other wildlife patients entrusted to our care. Thank you to Wags and Menace Make a Difference Program Foundation for their recent donation to our organization.

Baby raccoons arrived today! Our first 4 baby raccoons of the 2026 season. We have doubled our capacity for care of this species and our new enclosures are ready!! Thanks to help with funding from many supporters,we built all new habitats and a new nursery for this species over the winter.

A grant from Wags and Menace Make a Difference Program Foundation will help offset the cost of their daily care. Thank you all for helping us save these wild lives.

Thanks to support from donors and foundations like Wags and Menace Make a Difference Program Foundation - we are able to help patients like this hawk. We thank them for their recent support of our medical expenses.

Case # 3239-25: This Red-tailed hawk was admitted into care on November 8, 2025. He remains in our care due to the extent of damage to his beak. Some patients have a quick recovery; others can take several months to heal for release. This hawk was brought in from Freeland, where he hit a window causing the damage. Because the beak is made of keratin, like fingernails, it can regrow. If the trauma is too severe, that may not be possible, but this case is promising and he is improving. He is now in an outside flight cage and is eating well. We continue to monitor the growth and document the progress. The hawk will be banded for release allowing us to track his movements if anyone reports the band or the hawk is ever recovered. Status: pending release

This Bald eagle arrived on 12/14 and was suffering from a fractured pelvis on the left side. Surgery was not required but we had other concerns as to the recovery. DNA testing confirmed the eagle was male (important consideration to rule out future concerns should passing an egg need to occur) and he was not able to stand. Two weeks later on 12/24, he started to stand and by 12/26, he was perching. He is now in our release conditioning flight gaining strength and endurance to be ready for release!
