🕯️ What if haunted houses reveal more than paranormal activity? What if they also reflect the human mind?

At this year's Paranormal Research Symposium, explore the fascinating connection between haunting, trauma, memory, identity, and emotion in this thought-provoking workshop. Through the symbolism of haunted spaces, you'll discover how psychology and the paranormal can intersect in surprising and meaningful ways.

If you're curious about the deeper meaning behind hauntings—and the stories we carry with us—you won't want to miss this unique session.

‼️Over the next couple of weeks we will be sharing our workshops and presentations for August and we are starting things off with a highlight‼️

From Japanese ghost traditions to the enduring “Woman in White” legend, paranormal stories have always evolved alongside culture. Today, horror films, social media, and even AI-generated content are reshaping how people experience and interpret the supernatural.

This presentation, led by our founder, Alex Matsuo, explores how folklore, media, and technology influence modern paranormal beliefs, examining how ghost stories adapt across cultures and changing technologies. 💻📱

📝Alex Matsuo is a paranormal researcher, investigator, and author. She is the founder of the Association of Paranormal Study and runs the blog, The Spooky Stuff, which features various paranormal topics and historical places with reports of ghosts. Alex has been featured on Travel Channel, Discovery Plus, CTV Sci-Fi, and Tubi. Some of her books include, Haunted Northern Virginia, Women of the Paranormal Volume I: A Brief History, The Hamptonville Hauntings: Ghosts of the Trivette Clinic, One Bed Over: A Hospital Haunting, and The Brave Mortal’s Guide to Ghost Hunting. Alex holds a Master of Arts in Theatre from San Diego State University and works as a senior learning experience designer in Arlington, Virginia. Gaman (我慢).

This Pride Month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and recognize the many individuals whose stories, contributions, and experiences have shaped our history.

As researchers, we know that history is often more complex than the stories commonly told. Pride Month is an opportunity to honor voices that have too often been overlooked and to continue learning about the diverse people who came before us.

Happy Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈

Devil’s Den is more than a battlefield… it’s a place where history still feels present.

From phantom gunfire echoing between the boulders to the sighting of the “Tattered Man” moving through the rocks, Gettysburg remains one of the most intensely reported paranormal locations in the country. Whether you’re a skeptic, a researcher, or simply curious, the questions it raises haven’t gone away in over 160 years.

This is exactly why we gather.

Join us at the 2026 Paranormal Research Symposium in Gettysburg—where investigators, historians, and experiencers come together to explore evidence, theories, and stories.
