2026 Alonzo Stagg Hike - 20 miles. We couldn’t have asked for a better weather! So grateful to the volunteers who made this a lot easier.

Custis Trail/Arlington to Georgetown hike, 10 miles. The Scouts picked a Chipotle 5 miles away and added a stop for ice cream on the way back.

STM Troop 2535 had a great time at the Pack 194 Pinewood Derby on Sunday! It was just as much fun as we remembered. It takes a lot of work to make magic happen and we were especially impressed by the Cub Scouts who offered to help. Thank you for letting us all be part of your racing team, Mr. Aiken!

The mannequin lived! CPR and First Aid skills checked off. Knots and lashings. And, we found evidence of ten different plants and trees. We laughed about the apple in the parking lot. Technically, that counts!

Great campout with wood cutting, fire building, cooking, navigation, hiking, geocaching, knots and lashings. It ended with a passing rain, clear sky…and wind. SO MUCH WIND! We packed up and left just as the outhouse blew over. 😱

THANK YOU, Barcroft Neighborhood, Arlington Virginia!! You’re the best! Last Saturday, you showed how much you care about your neighbors by helping Troop 2535 collect 2,360 lbs of food for Arlington neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

In total, Scouting For Food resulted in a 64,000 lb donation to Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC), nearly doubling the Arlington total from last year.

Among other things, the Scout Law teaches us that a Scout is Helpful, Kind and Reverent. We pledge “to help other people at all times”. Thank you for your part in developing citizens with good character.🫡

Barcroft Neighborhood, Arlington Virginia, we’ll be delivering sticky notes this weekend. We can’t wait to see your Halloween decorations!

🛍️ Scouting for Food starts this weekend! 🛍️
As part of Scouting America's nationwide, annual service project, this is our Scouts’ chance to live the Scout Oath, Law, and Slogan by helping feed families in dire need across the Washington, D.C. region.

PROGRAM INFO FOR SCOUTS:

1️⃣ Saturday, November 1 - Distribute door tags in your assigned neighborhood. Let your community know that Scouts will be back next week to collect food donations. Be thorough, respectful, and represent Scouting proudly!

2️⃣ Saturday, November 8 - Return to collect non-perishable food donations.

3️⃣ Weigh all food collected by your unit and submit the total here:

4️⃣ Deliver donations to your designated drop-off location so they can be distributed to local food banks.
