A Night to Remember. A Time to Act.

Holman Recovery Center was honored to take part in the 10th Annual Snohomish County International Overdose Awareness Day at the Snohomish County Plaza.

International Overdose Awareness Day is a time to remember the people we've lost, stand with the families still carrying that grief, and recommit to preventing the next loss.

Representing HRC were Jackie Booth, Matisse and Jim Gilson, & their daughter Kalie Matisse! They spent the evening connecting with other providers, community organizations, and families, and sharing information about HRC and recovery resources available here in Snohomish County.

We were there because awareness saves lives. When people know what help exists and how to reach it, and when substance use is met with compassion instead of shame, barriers to care come down.

Thank you to the organizers and to everyone who showed up to remember, to connect, and to act.

Please join us in welcoming Tyler Marzolf to the Holman Recovery Center team! When we asked Tyler why he wanted to work here, his answer was simple: to be an inspiration to the newcomer trying to change their life, and to show them that recovery is possible.

He brings something to that work that can't be taught. Tyler comes to us with lived experience, and he puts it to work every day — he manages a sober living house, where he has spent the past two years supporting others in the daily work of building a stable life.

That lived experience is what makes peer support powerful. Clients who meet Tyler are meeting someone who understands the road they're on.

I had a rare moment today at the Snohomish County Adult Recovery Court annual picnic to grab a photo with my former Drug Court colleagues & my current Leadership Team at Holman Recovery Center! One of the great blessings in my life is to work with such amazing people!

WOW!!! There’s something really special about watching connection continue after treatment. 💚

Today we celebrated our very first Holman Recovery Center Alumni BBQ — bringing together past participants, staff, friends, and families for good food, laughter, connection, and community.

Seeing familiar faces come back, hearing where life has taken them, and watching our alumni connect with one another was such a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do!

This may have been our first Alumni BBQ… but it definitely won’t be our last. 🌿 Huge thank you to Amy, our Clinical Director and her support team for putting this all together!

Here’s to continuing to build a community where people are seen, supported, celebrated, and always welcome back. 💚

Continued education, continued care 👏
Thanks to the generous support of Residence XII Foundation, we're able to invest in opportunities like this for our team. Grateful we could send our counselor Camille to the All Rise Conference — Residence XII Foundation supports women in recovery and the partnerships that serve them, and their support helps us keep investing in our team members and ultimately our clients!
While there, Camille attended sessions including:
