Much time has passed, the need to provide thousands of girls with feminine hygiene care on a regular basis has not. Hello friends, I hope you are still out there.

One for You, One for Her is coming back to take action. I hope you are still out there and will join me in a new initiative in 2022.

Material poverty comes at all levels, we will never be able to end it all. Don't let that discourage you, we can focus on 20 girls, or 50 girls, or maybe even 100 girls.

To have s*x with a man for $$ to purchase a sanitary napkin in order to go to school or walk in public with dignity is a reality for far too many young women.

For those of you in the Boston area who would like to help others in need...here is an opportunity in October I will be going to.

Join the Martin Richard Foundation for a family-friendly day of service to those in need. Volunteers will engage in meaningful activities that support the homeless, children in need of care and resources, Boston Public Schools students, and more. Several organizations will lead hands-on projects and give presentations about service learning and the importance of service and community engagement.

-Making plastic bags into yarn for Sleeping Bags for the Homeless

Hope and Comfort (https://www.facebook.com/hopeandcomfort/) donated over 5,000 tooth brushes to One for You, One for Her. Those tooth brushes will be sent to children and adults in poor villages in Moldova, the Dominican Republic (jchispaniola.org), and Jamaica. From Uganda, regarding the Village project supporting 4 children in the refugee camp going to school.......

"You should be proud of the risk you taking on these children. They're doing well in school. It's a good news academically the only one boy came a little bit short and didn't show the progress he should be doing. The middle girl is on fire, giving the circumstances. I won't be surprised next semester if she A' all her classes"

Recently a group of teenagers served at a local women's prison in Uganda, during their visit they learned of their need for feminine hygiene so they reached out to One for You, One for Her. The best path to help is to provide sewing machines and materials in order to create a sustainable solution for the women to be able to provide for themselves. My hope if that this may be the beginning of providing for themselves but also to give back to the community. This is wonderful that so many people are thinking about how to provide feminine hygiene to the materially rich and poor in a way that protect the environment. One For You, One for Her worked with Ruby Cup years ago in Kenya. Great people.

Disposable tampons and menstrual pads can contain plastics and are often flushed into water systems.
