Congratulations to former AHC player, and current Dexter Standout, JP Messuri on being drafted in the USHL's Phase 2 draft for players born between 2008 and 2005!! JP, a forward, was taken in the 10th round by the Tri-City Storm of Nebraska. He was the 152nd pick of the draft and the 9th player selected from Massachusetts in the approximately 300 player draft.

The USHL is the only Tier I junior hockey league in the US. Most NCAA Division I players play in the USHL before matriculating into their college programs.

Registration for AHC’s 2026–2027 Travel Programs has now concluded, and AHC once again had a very successful enrollment!

This year, the Girls Travel Program led registration with the second-highest player total in the last ten years. AHC’s combined registration across Intercity, Girls Travel, and Midgets was also the second-highest total in the last ten years, demonstrating the continued strength and commitment of the Arlington Hockey community.

Players from throughout Arlington participate in the club, led by those living in the Bishop School District (18%), followed closely by Stratton, Dallin, and Brackett. The Thompson School District continues to grow rapidly, contributing 13% of players this year, up from 2% just several years ago.

With tryouts now complete, team rosters for the Intercity Travel Program have been posted. Families should expect to hear from their team’s coach in the near future. Girls Travel Program teams will be posted soon.

We’re looking forward to an excellent 2026–2027 season and can’t wait to see everyone back at the rink in August!

Mass. Hockey's girls festival featured 224 of the state's top players across the 2009, 2010 and 2011 birth years. These '10s stood out.

Congratulations Nolan Russell – the 2026 Massachusetts Mr. Hockey Award Recipient!!

Congratulations to Nolan Russell on being named the Commonwealth’s top high school hockey player! Your dedication, hard work, and elite skill set you apart this season, and this honor is incredibly well deserved.

A former Arlington Hockey Club player from Mites through Bantams, Nolan’s commitment to the game — both with AHC and the Boston Junior Penguins — helped shape an outstanding high school career and set the standard for future Arlington players.

As captain of the Spy Ponders, Nolan led the team to back-to-back Final Four appearances while pacing the team offensively. A multi-time Middlesex All-Star and Academic All-Star, he has truly excelled both on and off the ice.

Best of luck as you continue your academic and hockey career at Babson College!
