Looking for an easy way to earn volunteer hours while giving back to your community? Teens ages 12–18 can help keep the Courthouse Library’s children’s area clean, welcoming, and ready for little readers. Volunteers will spend 1.5 hours sanitizing toys and board books, straightening shelves, and tidying the play area. This is a flexible drop-in opportunity with no weekly commitment, sign up whenever it works for you.

Arlington Families for Safe Streets is looking for a County Board Liaison. Last night, we gathered with friends, neighbors, and community partners for Causes & Cocktails to celebrate the arts in our community and talk about how we can continue to show up for and support our local arts community.
A huge thank you to our nonprofit partners that helped make this evening possible:

Arlington Chorale
Arlington VA Public Library
Avant Bard Theatre
ETC: Educational Theatre Company
Encore Stage & Studio
Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington
Resonance Improv Alliance

From great conversations to new connections, we loved seeing so many people come together around a shared appreciation for the creativity that makes our community such a special place to live, work, and play.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their perspective, and showed their support.

Making a difference doesn’t stop with volunteering. Voting is another way to show up for your causes and community. Before heading to the polls, take time to listen, learn and get informed about the issues and candidates on your ballot.

As Points of Light reminds us, we all have the power to lead, lend support and take action. Voting is one way to put that power into action.

Check your registration, see what’s on your ballot, find your polling place and make your voting plan through Arlington County Voting & Elections.
