This June, HPBA members from 17 states came together in Washington, D.C. for the 2026 Congressional Fly-In and made the voices of our industry heard.

Participants representing the Government Affairs Leadership Academy (GALA), Board of Directors, and Affiliate Executive Directors held 50+ meetings on Capitol Hill. Most participants were able to meet with their Representative and both Senate offices, and provided information to key leadership offices on our priority issues:

πŸ”₯ Advocating for Congress to take action on the Energy Choice Act (H.R. 3699 / S. 1945)
πŸ”₯ Education on EPA-certified solid fuel products and the agency's upcoming New Source Performance Standard rule
πŸ”₯ Raising awareness on how hearth industry products give consumers affordable, reliable options for primary and backup heating β€” meeting real needs when it matters most

Thank you to everyone who joined us in helping advance our industry on Capitol Hill.

During the 2026 HPBA Congressional Fly-In, GALA members had the opportunity to meet with Congressman Nick Langworthy's Chief of Staff and hear firsthand about what it's like to serve as a congressional staffer on Capitol Hill.

The group heard valuable insights on the day to day work behind the scenes in Congress, and important policy developments on the Energy Choice Act.
