What an incredible afternoon!
The Arlington Branch NAACP was honored to host a marvelous Summer Barbecue and Fellowship, welcoming more than 110 attendees for an afternoon filled with great food, meaningful fellowship, and a shared commitment to our community.
We were especially grateful to pause for a moment of silence in memory of Dr. Alfred Taylor, who passed away this week. Dr. Taylor leaves behind a remarkable legacy of leadership, service, and advocacy that has profoundly impacted our branch and the entire Arlington community. His dedication to justice and equality will continue to inspire our work for years to come.
We also shared important community updates, including information about our upcoming Housing Conference on September 14 and our Freedom Fund Banquet on October 10. These events represent significant opportunities to educate, organize, and strengthen our collective commitment to civil rights and equity.
The Arlington Branch NAACP remains steadfast in our mission to advocate for justice, equality, and opportunity for all. It is a privilege to partner with community organizations, elected officials, faith leaders, and residents who share our vision of building a stronger, more equitable Arlington.
