Face The World Foundation Face The World Foundation (FTW) is a nonprofit educational and cultural exchange organization.

Face The World's programs are designed to provide excellent educational opportunities and an intensive cross-cultural experience to select international students that will expand their normal scope of world understanding. We offer Semester and Academic Year programs for full-time study in an American high school to students between the ages of 15 and 18.

Today we celebrate the women who open not just their homes, but their hearts. The ones who turn unfamiliar places into safe spaces, who offer comfort on hard days, and who make sure no student ever feels alone.

You may have started as a “host,” but to so many students, you became mom, a source of support, guidance, laughter, and love. Your kindness creates confidence, your patience builds trust, and your care leaves a lasting impact that reaches across the world.

Thank you for every ride to school, every shared meal, every conversation, and every moment of encouragement. What you do matters more than words can express. Today, we celebrate you!

As we begin May and June approaching, our students’ journeys are coming to an end… but their stories are just beginning.

What started as a leap of faith has become a year filled with growth, confidence, and unforgettable memories. From the first nervous days to feeling truly at home, our students have come so far in school, in friendships, and in who they are becoming.

They arrived as strangers in a new place…
and leave with lifelong connections, new perspectives, and a second family.
