Today, Oct. 8, is Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) Day! Haven’t heard of a DAF? You’re not alone.

A Donor-Advised Fund is a charitable giving account that allows you to set aside money for charitable giving, receive potential tax benefits, and recommend grants to the causes you want to support.

If you have a DAF, consider recommending a grant to Air & Space Forces Aid Society. Your generosity can help provide critical support to Airmen, Guardians, and their families when they need it most. Whether it’s emergency assistance, education support, disaster relief, or other essential resources, your generosity helps make a difference.

Moody Air Force Base is home to an incredible group of Airmen, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to spend time with them.

Our CEO, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Ed Thomas, recently visited Moody with one goal in mind: to listen. Hearing directly from the Airmen and families we serve helps us better understand what they need and where we can do more.

We’re always looking for ways to strengthen the support we provide to Airmen, Guardians, and their families, and visits like this remind us why those conversations matter.

Thank you, Moody AFB, for welcoming us and for all you do. We’re looking forward to the work ahead and everything we can accomplish together. Read more: https://bit.ly/4z1yPbV

L3Harris Technologies has been an incredible partner in helping us support Airmen, Guardians, and their families.

As our CEO, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Ed Thomas, shared, every dollar goes toward making a real difference, whether that means helping a family get a baby’s cranial helmet, covering basic living expenses, supporting emergency travel, or providing assistance after a disaster.

An added bonus of the visit was discovering a special AFAS connection: L3Harris employee Neelie Harris, a recent Virginia Tech graduate, received tuition assistance from AFAS while pursuing her degree. We’re grateful for partners like L3Harris who help make this work possible.
