Big congratulations to our CSU Scholarship recipients!

Through our partnership with Columbia Southern University, AFAS is proud to support military spouses as they pursue their educational and professional goals.

Please join us in celebrating Jennifer Hartzog and Harley Lopez, who have each been awarded a 60-credit-hour scholarship to pursue an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree.

Vandenberg Space Force Base is truly one of a kind.

Recently, our CEO, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Ed Thomas, and Chief Development Officer, P***y Lyden, had the opportunity to visit with the dedicated Guardians and leaders serving at Vandenberg. We left inspired by the incredible pace of operations supporting our nation's space missions.

With 31 space launches already completed this year and more than 80 launches projected for 2026, the work happening at Vandenberg is helping shape the future of national security and space operations.

While the base faces unique challenges, including a high cost of living and limited access to specialized medical care, the resilience, professionalism, and commitment of the Guardians and support teams remain unwavering.

Our CEO, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Ed Thomas, and CDO, P***y Lyden, recently spent time with the incredible team at Travis Air Force Base — one of the busiest installations supporting our nation’s global mobility mission.

Last year alone, AFAS provided more than $230K in support to Travis Airmen and families, and we're proud to work alongside these dedicated leaders and service members.
