Thank you, Air Force Sergeants Association, for an incredible week at the Air Force Sergeants Association Summit! ✈️ 🚀

We enjoyed connecting with so many Airmen and Guardians, hearing your stories, and sharing how AFAS can support you and your families.

A special thank-you to the 1st Sergeants who help spread the word about AFAS programs and ensure Airmen and Guardians know that support is available when they need it most. 💙

As General Chance "Salty" Saltzman retires as the second Chief of Space Operations of the U.S. Space Force, we could not be more grateful for his leadership and heart for service. But the other half of Team Saltzman, Jennifer Saltzman - Chief of Space Operations Spouse brought equal passion and steadfast support of military families. She’s left a lasting mark on our community.

As members of our Board of Trustees, General and Mrs. Saltzman gave generously of their time and wisdom, helping guide our mission and champion those who serve. Their partnership and heart have shaped this organization in ways that will endure.

We are profoundly grateful for all they've given — to AFAS, to the Space Force, and to the families we serve alongside them. Wishing them every joy in this well-earned next chapter. Semper Supra!

We're proud to welcome Maj Gen Robert "Bob" LaBrutta, USAF (Ret.), to the AFAS Advisory Council.

Known throughout the Air Force as an Airman's Airman, Gen LaBrutta built a legacy of service few can match — and he's still living it today as Vice President of Survivorship at USAA. His experience and enduring commitment to the force make him a powerful addition to our team.

We're honored to have his leadership and perspective as we advance our mission of supporting Airmen, Guardians, and their families.

Couldn't agree more, Chief. We echo that family readiness strengthens mission readiness. We're proud of our AFAS Board members also serving on this commission, Cathy Bentivegna, Jennifer Saltzman - Chief of Space Operations Spouse, Cindy Wilsbach, and Dr. Doniel Wolfe.

When we take care of our families, we strengthen our readiness.

This week, the President signed an Executive Order establishing the Military Spouse Commission to tackle the unique challenges our military families face, such as spouse employment, career portability, and childcare.

I am incredibly proud that my wife, Cathy, will help advocate for our United States Space Force families on this team and bringing your voices to the table.

A cranial helmet can play an important role in a baby's development, but the cost can be challenging for military families.

AFAS helps eligible Airmen and Guardians cover the cost of cranial helmets when TRICARE doesn't, giving families one less thing to worry about while focusing on their child's care.
