Our fiscal year ends June 30 -- and we're counting on our community to help us finish strong🐾

Right now, 115 animals are in our shelter and another 105 are in foster homes across the region, all waiting to be adopted. Every one of them needs food, medical care, and daily supplies while they wait -- and you can make that care possible.

What we raise before the deadline helps determine how much we can do for Arlington animals in the year ahead. Eight days isn't a lot of time, but together we can hit our $31,470 goal and head into the new fiscal year in a strong position.

🐾WE NEED YOUR HELP 🐾

These 10 animals were recently found and brought to AWLA -- and every one of them has a family out there who may be searching right now.

Take a look through the photos. Do you recognize any of these faces? Maybe a neighbor's pet, a familiar face from your block, or one of your own.

Each photo includes the location where the animal was found, so check for any that are near you.

If you recognize an animal or have information that could help reunite them with their people, please call AWLA at (703) 931-9241. After hours, you can leave a message with our answering service and it will be passed along to the Animal Control officer on duty.

A share takes a second and could be the reason one of these animals makes it home. Please help us spread the word.

Starting with our littlest point guard Van Gogh, our shooting guard Delilah, and our center Midnight Onyx, the team gathered courtside to make their official NBA Finals prediction. 🏀

After extensive scouting, heated debates, several snack breaks, and at least one technical foul for excessive zoomies, they finally reached a unanimous decision…

Whoever wins better be prepared to celebrate with treats. 🐾

Van Gogh brought the hustle, Delilah analyzed the vibes, and Midnight Onyx simply stared into the distance like he already knew the outcome weeks ago. Honestly? We trust him.

Happy tails… reptile tails, that is 🦎💚

After the whole neighborhood was out searching for Ghost, it turns out he wasn’t lost at all. He simply decided to stop by and visit us for a little adventure before heading back home to his very worried human. Typical Ghost behavior honestly.

We’re so happy this slippery little escape artist is safely reunited with his person.

Work hard, lounge harder. 😌🐾

A huge thank you to for spending their Impact Day here on June 5! More than 20 volunteers redistributed gravel, reinforced fencing, patched asphalt, built a shade structure, and added benches to our dog yards — and the pups are already enjoying every inch of it.

The team also prepped food for our mobile pet distribution program before the day was done. We're so grateful for the time, energy, and genuine care the Deloitte team brought to AWLA. This is what community looks like. 💙
