Affording childcare in Arlington is **tough**, as a recent analysis from the Wall Street Journal demonstrates. Now imagine that you must find childcare while earning less than $50,000 per year for a family of four. Contrary to popular belief, most families at this income level do NOT receive a subsidy to cover childcare expenses, because there simply are not enough subsidies to go around. Instead, these parents often face closed doors, waitlists, or partial day care that still doesn’t enable them to work-full time or get ahead economically.
