National Tank Truck Carriers, Inc.

National Tank Truck Carriers, Inc. The Voice of the Tank Truck Industry. The National Tank Truck Carriers, Inc. (NTTC) represents the most specialized segment of the trucking industry.

From the drivers' rooms to the boardrooms, your workforce, your equipment, and your operations have to be the best. You need your own voice in Washington and in the shipper community. The NTTC is the only international trade association focused exclusively on your unique legislative, regulatory, and operational concerns. NTTC is a member-driven, issues-oriented tank truck association. Since 1945,

we have successfully represented our members before Congress and various federal agencies such as Department of Transportation, Department of Homeland Security, Enviromental Protection Agency, and others. Today, our organization is comprised of more than 200 trucking companies – representing over 80% of bulk volume hauled in North America – and about 300 associate members who supply products and essential services to our trucking membership. Our mission is to foster, promote and advance the common interests of tank truck operators throughout the United States or elsewhere; to promote the general welfare of its carrier members; and, in their common interest, to assist in the solution of any and all problems which may confront the carrier members. Our members specialize in bulk transportation of petroleum products, chemicals, dry bulk materials, gases, food grade products and other essential commodities throughout North America. The tank truck industry is a vital link in the distribution chain that provides North America and its many citizens with the essential products that allow us to maintain and improve our quality of life in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

The future of roadway safety starts with the next generation of drivers.

Helping young motorists understand how to safely share the road with tank trucks, including recognizing blind spots, allowing extra stopping distance, and giving trucks room to maneuver, can help prevent crashes and build safer driving habits for years to come.

During Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Our Roads, Our Safety Week, NTTC encourages all drivers to learn the importance of safely sharing the road with commercial vehicles.

Why is NTTC's Midwest Regional Safety & Security Summit being held at Kansas Speedway?

Because this year's event includes a live Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC demonstration that can't be replicated in a conference room. On July 29, attendees will have the opportunity to see advanced roll stability and vehicle control technologies in action as trucks are tested in real-world conditions.

The agenda also includes sessions on crash response, lawsuit abuse, regulatory updates, and other issues impacting tank truck carriers today. If you're responsible for safety, compliance, operations, or risk management, join us in Kansas City for a day of education, networking, and hands-on learning.

Commercial motor vehicles move the products Americans rely on every day, and roadway safety is a shared responsibility. As part of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Our Roads, Our Safety Week, we're highlighting the importance of giving trucks the space they need to operate safely.

Large trucks have bigger blind spots, require longer stopping distances, and need extra room to maneuver. A little patience and awareness can go a long way toward preventing crashes and keeping everyone safe on our nation's highways.
