St. Charles Borromeo Philippine Medical Mission

St. Charles Borromeo Philippine Medical Mission Promoting the health and well-being of the poor, the sick, and the elderly in the Philippines.

SCBPMM fosters relationships with established non-profit Philippine-based organizations working on poverty alleviation, health care for the poor, and self-empowerment education. SCBPMM undertakes fundraising activities to provide financial and in-kind assistance to our partners. As an all-volunteer charity, we are able to keep our administrative costs below 10%, which allows us to use over 90% of

all proceeds to support basic nutrition and health care projects for the underprivileged in the Philippines.

Gawad Kalinga (GK) USA, through its partner, the St. Charles Borromeo Philippine Medical Mission (SCBPMM), supported the purchase of basic housing materials and essential supplies for families displaced by Typhoon Tino. The beneficiaries and volunteers will construct the houses, allowing parents to rebuild their livelihoods, children to return to school without fear, and communities to heal and look toward the future with hope.

A visit to Archbishop Gabriel M. Reyes Memorial Foundation, Inc. (AGMRMFI). For this year, SCBPMM is providing support for the medical and dental care of children with special needs as well as training for parents/guardians on how to cope with mental health issues.

Many thanks to Cecile, Weng, Mel, Joanna, and the staff of AGMRMFI for accommodating our request for a site visit. That the Foundation can do so much with very limited resources is truly impressive.
