🌟 EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Caitlin Hogan 🌟
Hill PTA Treasurer | Spreadsheet Queen | Dance Mom Extraordinaire

If there is one person you want keeping an eye on the PTA money, it’s someone who appreciates a beautifully organized spreadsheet—and Caitlin Hopson LOVES a spreadsheet. 📊🙌

Caitlin dipped her toe into PTA by helping with events last year and apparently thought, “You know what sounds fun? Being responsible for ALL THE MONEY.” 😂 So this year, she jumped in full force as our Hill PTA Treasurer—and we are so glad she did!

Mom to two sweet Highlander girls in Kinder and 2nd grade, Caitlin spent her summer meeting with our president, building budgets, organizing spreadsheets, asking all the right questions, and somehow thinking through just about every need our school could possibly have. She keeps us organized, on track, and occasionally reminds the rest of us that apparently “the budget” is a real thing we should consider before getting carried away with another great idea. 😉

But Caitlin is so much more than numbers. She is constantly researching new ideas for Hill, is a huge supporter of the arts, a dance mom extraordinaire (and YES, she has the jacket to prove it 💃), and is an incredible supporter of our greater community—including serving on a board in Pantego.

She gives her time, talents, ideas, and approximately 4,782 spreadsheets to make our school and community better—and Hill PTA is incredibly lucky to have her!

And because Treasurer apparently wasn’t enough to keep her busy… up next, Caitlin is organizing Donuts with Grown Ups on September 25! 🍩

Caitlin, thank you for keeping us organized, keeping us on budget, and always looking for the next great thing we can do for our Highlanders. 💚🤍

💚 BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: ANITA ORTEGON 💚
VP of Membership | Hill Veteran | Cricut Queen | Professional People Collector 😂

With two Hill alumni who are now juniors in high school and a current 2nd grader, Anita Ortegon has basically earned tenure at Hill Elementary. 🏫😂

She spent years in the trenches as a Grade Coordinator — organizing the BEST class parties, making sure her grades had the coolest shirts, and proving that if there’s a Cricut, some vinyl, stickers, prizes, or a random craft supply involved… Anita probably has it covered. ✂️✨

This year, she decided simply being amazing behind the scenes wasn’t enough and leveled up to the Hill PTA Executive Board as our VP of Membership. And she did NOT ease into the job. 😂
Anita came in with GUSTO and has been hustling memberships from Day 1. We’ve already surpassed last year’s membership total and she’s steadily marching us toward our big goal of 250 MEMBERS! 🎯💚

But the best thing about Anita isn’t what she can make with a Cricut or how many people she can convince to join PTA. It’s the way she serves — always with a smile, a great sense of humor, and a genuine servant heart. She’s the kind of person who makes volunteering feel fun and gets the rest of us excited to show up for the next event.

We are so lucky she decided to “level up” with us this year. 💚
👏 Help us show some love to our VP of Membership, Anita Ortegon!

And Anita… 250 or bust. No pressure. 😉😂

🐾 156 AND COUNTING! 💚

Hill PTA is just 19 members away from our goal of 175 members by the end of August!

Can we do it?! 🙌 We think so!

If you’ve been meaning to join, now’s the time! Parents, grandparents, teachers, staff and community members can all be part of PTA — and there’s no volunteer requirement just because you join.

Every membership helps us get closer to our ultimate goal of 250 members and supports everything PTA does for our students, staff and Hill community. 💚🤍

Already joined? Tag a Hill friend and help us get to 175! 🐾
