People think abuse only looks like shouting, hitting, breaking things, blocking doors, or recording your weakest moments to use against you later. But abuse is also neglect when you are sick, silence when you are breaking, and indifference when you need care the most.
Sometimes abuse is not what they do loudly. It is what they refuse to do when your body, mind, or heart is collapsing. Sleeping peacefully after making you cry all night is abuse. Watching you stop eating from grief and still not caring is abuse. Acting normal after you were badly hurt is abuse.
Abuse is also abandoning you during pregnancy, refusing medical care, walking ahead when you are injured, and watching you carry everything alone while they stand there doing nothing. It is not love when someone only stays for your usefulness but disappears from your pain.
