A huge thank you to everyone who donated backpacks filled with school supplies! Because of your generosity, along with donations from Arlington Thrive and Dweck Properties, we were able to provide school supplies for 108 Arlington students!

Our prayers go out to all the students, families, teachers, and school staff getting ready for a new school year. And don’t forget—Our Blessing of the Backpacks is this Sunday, August 23, at 10:30 a.m. Bring your backpack, school bag, or work bag as we pray together for the year ahead! 🎒🙏

Join us this Sunday, August 16 at 4 PM for a free brass chamber recital featuring Brandon Benson on tuba, principal tubist with The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” Concert Band.

Admission is free, and donations will benefit Verano Alegre’s Joyful Summer Fund, supporting summer programming for vulnerable children in South Arlington.

Come enjoy an afternoon of great music for a great cause! 🎺

Good evening, friends.

We know some of you were hoping to join us for worship online today, and our livestream wasn't available. If you tuned in expecting to be with us and came away empty-handed, please know you were missed. And we apologize for the inconvenience.

This morning's service was a joyful one. Our pop-up summer choir of all ages, from our littlest singers to our most seasoned, blessed us with a beautiful anthem.

Virginia Tax-Free Weekend is here! If you're planning to shop for school supplies this weekend, it's a great opportunity to pick up a few extra items for our Casa Mariflor Backpack & School Supply Drive. Many qualifying school supplies can be purchased tax-free, making it an easy way to stretch your generosity while helping students in our community start the school year well.

Thank you for supporting this ministry! Backpacks and supplies can be dropped off in the Outpost Room in the Fellowship Hall by August 17.

We are collecting backpacks and school supplies to be distributed by Casa Mariflor. Choose a grade level, purchase a backpack and the corresponding supplies, and place all supplies inside the backpack.

Drop-off deadline: August 17
Drop-off location: The Outpost Room in the Fellowship Hall, Walker Chapel UMC
Please clearly label the backpack with the grade level.
