ALCON,

Welcome to the Mess!

For our first post, below is some information about CPOA!

CPO Academy (CPOA) is for cadets ready to rank up to Chief or new Chiefs. CPOA is completed in TWO PHASES (and TWO separate Magellan courses).

PHASE I is three virtual training days spread out over several weeks combining formal instruction with student-led discussions. Over the course of the virtual portion, students will develop an essay and work together on assignments. Learn what it means to wear the Chief uniform and how to become an effective Chief.

Phase II is an in-person training for a minimum of two days (locations, costs, and the number of days will vary from course to course).

CPOA will be a requirement to be eligible for future Senior and Master Chief ranks. If you think you are ready for this course and you want to apply for a quota, please register via Magellan and look for course Leadership, Chief Petty Officer Academy, (CPOA). The ONLY paperwork required is a Training Request (TRNG001) and CO recommendation that you are ready for Chief level training.
