That's a wrap on another successful Annual Workshop! This past week, we went on a "quest for new markets" alongside hundreds of Cooperators, U.S. Department of Agriculture FAS partners, and other industry leaders.

After dozens of insightful presentations and motivating panels, valuable hours connecting with partners old and new, and a thousand mugs of lukewarm coffee, we are both exhausted and energized. And so grateful for the attendees, speakers, and sponsors who made it all possible!

That's a wrap! It was wonderful to have the time to (re)connect with everyone in Virginia. An enthusiastic shout out to our members, Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) partners, speakers, sponsors, USAEDC staff, and everyone who made the conference a success!

“This past week’s USAEDC event was one of the most engaging formats we’ve ever seen,” said Greg Tyler, USAEDC chair and President & CEO of Poultry & Egg Export Council. “The program content as well as the interaction between FAS representatives and the cooperator community were outstanding. In addition, the World Café concept gave us a chance to truly listen, speak, and strategize together—something that’s hard to replicate in other settings. Great job USAEDC!”

At our July conference, Andreas Düss CEO of 6 Seeds Consulting explained that "the purpose of AI is augmentation, not replacement, and to set aside the heavy lifting for humans. AI shines for quantitative surveys, concept testing and rapid iteration, and niche or hard-to-reach audiences."

"Use humans where it matters," Düss says, "for complex or sensitive topics and exploring ambiguity and unexpected outcomes. I use AI all the time. Not to do the work for me, but to do the work with me."

The U.S. Agricultural Export Development Council is delighted to announce it has selected DTB AgriTrade LLP for its new association management team. For the last several months, the USAEDC Executive Committee solicited, reviewed and interviewed a wide range of candidates for the role, and on December 3, 2024 DTB AgriTrade was formally selected with Steve Sothmann appointed to serve as the organization’s new Executive Director.

The new management team brings strong connections with the Cooperator community and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service, as well as a deep understanding of the complex challenges that face U.S. agriculture.
