Meet Feras Hamdouni, Senior Program Manager at DT Institute.

A Syrian native, Feras’s journey into human rights work began under the shadow of the Assad regime’s repression. After being unjustly detained for his activism, he considers himself fortunate to have been released, an experience that only deepened his commitment to advocating for justice and peace.

With over a decade of experience, Feras has led programs supporting some of the most vulnerable communities in conflict-affected regions, including Syria, Yemen, and Iraq. His work spans humanitarian response, human rights, civil society development, and peacebuilding initiatives.

While his efforts have had global impact, Syria remains at the heart of his mission.

At DT Institute, Feras continues to drive meaningful change in places where it’s needed most. Follow his journey as he champions human rights and resilience across the globe.

▶Today, alongside the DT Institute and Akademia Kadr Europejskich / Academy of European Careers we had the pleasure of hosting the interactive game Democracy at the Crossroads: Shifting Norms and Poland’s Strategic Response to Global Uncertainty.

💡The participants, who were divided into groups, took on the roles of Polish power centers representatives and civic organizations to discuss the most topical issues of today's Poland, including the post-election political landscape and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
