Basic Computer Skills
A free, hands-on class teaching basic computer skills will be taught at the Resource Center for a Better Life (RCBL) at 727 23rd St S, Arlington Virginia. This class will be taught on Saturdays from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, beginning October 12th and ending December 14th, using computers with Microsoft Windows. The number of students for this term is limited, and the students must be able to get to the RCBL each Saturday.
The class is intended for new immigrants and refugees who already speak some English and can follow written or spoken instructions. The class will teach computer-related vocabulary (English) as well as principles of operation. It will introduce the use of browsers and applications for searching the internet and for creating and editing documents and spreadsheets.
