Arlington Squares We strive to be one of the friendliest and most welcoming clubs in the area. Please visit us anytime! This is a great activity for both singles and couples.

Arlington Squares is a social club based in Arlington Heights, IL with a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization status. The club holds square dances on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Fridays of each month. The club also offers lessons to new square dancing enthusiasts starting in January and September of each year. Come check out why square dancing is called "friendship set to music"!

PLEASE NOTE LOCATION CHANGE FOR THE PLUS WORKSHOP. Corrected text and flyer are in this post:

Arlington Squares cordially invites all area square dancers to its upcoming workshops focusing on teaching, practicing and - hopefully - mastering the 8 new calls that have been added to the Plus program. Even if you have learned these calls and perhaps danced some of them over the summer, this is your opportunity to take a refresher just ahead of the 2026-2027 dance season. The workshops will be led by Bobby Poyner, who has developed a clear, concise, and challenging program that introduces and workshops these new calls in a way that will have all attendees dancing them with confidence!
The fee for each workshop is only $10 per person for a 3-hour session!

First workshop:
DATE: Sunday, August 23, 2026
TIME: 6:30 - 9:30 pm
LOCATION: St. Thomas of Villanova Viking Hall, 1141 E. Anderson Dr., Palatine IL (school basement) - FOLLOW SIGNS

Second Workshop:
DATE: Sunday, September 6, 2026
TIME: 2:00-5:00 pm

Anderson Drive, Palatine, not our regular Friday night venue. There's room for lots of squares in the gym. What a great way to kick off the Memorial Day weekend!
