🌟 Champion Spotlight 🌟

During her time as Mrs. Illinois 2025, community member and D214 parent Tracy Drost made an incredible impact on our D214 communities. The D214 Education Foundation was fortunate to be one of the over one hundred organizations that she gave back to during her reign!

Tracy was instrumental in supporting the Prom Pop-Up Boutique, volunteering time and connections to make a truly special event, and helping us bring in over $80,000 in donated dresses.

It was an honor to recognize Tracy at Tee Up for 214 for the impact that she has made on our D214 community!

"The Prom Pop-Up Boutique was a great example of what can happen when a community comes together to support its students. I was grateful to collaborate with the Foundation and others in our community, connecting businesses, resources and people that helped make this event such a great success for District 214 students. Knowing these dresses helped so many feel confident, beautiful and celebrated on their special night was what it was all about, " she said.

The 2000 Buffalo Grove Bison girls basketball state champions reunited to celebrate an unforgettable season, and the friendships that have lasted long beyond the final buzzer.

✨ Lights, camera, action! 🎭

Check out John Hersey High School’s new lighting console, purchased thanks to generous donation to the D214 Education Foundation Fine Arts Fund! This new equipment will help make performances, concerts, and events even more exciting, and will allow students to get hands-on technical experience.

We can’t wait to see all the amazing things these students create with it! 🌟🎶

Frank Mirandola is the Associate Principal for Activities and Operations at Prospect High School, and one of our D214 Education Foundation Champions!

We are proud to recognize Frank for his commitment to wellbeing and belonging in District 214. Frank is a true advocate for teachers and students at Prospect, and has been instrumental in getting major projects the support that they need to best serve students.

Honoring our Champions at Tee Up for 214 was extra special, as we were able to connect our community with some of the awesome people who make a real positive impact in our schools. Frank said, "It was a fun night and very inspiring to see all the D214 supporters."

We're so grateful to everyone who came out to have fun and give back to our students. The D214 Education Foundation believes that strong students create strong schools, and strong schools build strong communities, creating a mission centered around providing focused support to ensure our students have access to what they need to be successful.

Thank you to our community for showing up and investing in real support for creativity, wellness, and opportunity here in District 214. We had a blast at Topgolf this year and hope that you did too! ❤️

Over the summer, the D214 Education Foundation approved support for "The Armory," a new program at Prospect High School designed to provide students with real-life skills through the formation of a micro-business while fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion for all Prospect Knights.

As the school year gets underway, students in Special Education teacher Jack Casey's classroom are now learning how to use new equipment like a t-shirt press to start building up inventory for their business. 👕
