Our Clever Clover Community Art Wall at First Bank of Highland Park came down on September 30th, and we want to take a moment to share our gratitude! 💚

A HUGE thank you to First Bank Chicago for generously allowing us to keep our wall up for TWO MONTHS, throughout August and September! We are so grateful for the opportunity to share Clever Clover Children’s Charity and our mission with the community. 🍀

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, read our mission, learned about our founder Wade and his family’s story, and took the time to learn more about the children and families we support. Your interest in our story and mission means so much to us! 💚

We are so grateful to everyone who came out and supported Clever Clover! Your generosity, enthusiasm, and support made this our LARGEST EVENT EVER in attendance! 💚

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — a day we will never forget.

While we remember the tremendous loss this day represents, let’s also take a moment to remember a life that was saved on this day. ❤️

On September 11, 2001, six-month-old Kareena was suffering from liver failure and desperately needed a liver transplant.

As the nation’s airspace was grounded following the attacks, healthcare workers, the FAA, and members of the Tennessee National Guard worked together to get a donor liver from Nashville to Houston so Kareena could receive the transplant she urgently needed.

That liver gave Kareena a chance at life.

And this month, 25 years later, Kareena finally met Jill Grandas, the healthcare worker who helped make that journey possible.

That is why we are sharing their story today.

On a day remembered for unimaginable loss, we can also remember a life that was saved. Their story is a powerful reminder that even in the darkest moments, people can come together with compassion, courage and hope to make a difference in a child’s life. 🍀
