Studies show 44–75% of children with autism have folate receptor alpha autoantibodies (FRAA), which block folate transport into the brain even with normal blood levels. This is not classic MTHFR. It’s a transport defect (CFD-like). A 2023 meta-analysis of 1,200+ kids confirmed ~60% prevalence.

Leucovorin approval was a long time coming. We're seeing developmental increases in language, personality, and motor skills.
