A few months back, we had the opportunity to spend time with an incredible group of kids and share the story of Good Neighbors Network and the importance of helping others in our community.

What made the day even more special was that these young people didn't just learn about giving back. They took action and collected donations to support the students and families we serve.

A special thank you to St. Peter's Lutheran Church and Kristen Drake for welcoming us and creating this opportunity to inspire the next generation of community helpers.

It was also a special treat to present alongside Prince of Peace Pastor Karl Fay. Not only is he pretty cool, but Prince of Peace has also been a wonderful supporter of Good Neighbors Network and our mission over the years.

The future is bright when young people lead with compassion and generosity. Thank you to these amazing kids for reminding us that kindness is contagious. 💛

As the school year comes to an end and summer begins, many families face challenges that often go unseen.

For some children, school meals provide the most reliable food they receive each day. When school is out, that support can disappear.

The need doesn’t take a summer break. That’s why Good Neighbors Network exists—to help neighbors facing food insecurity and other hardships, and to make sure no one is overlooked when they need support most. 💙

Sometimes changing the world starts with a lemonade stand. 🍋

A huge thank you to the Corliss Family and all of their friends who spent the day selling lemonade, cookies, and brownies—and donated every dollar they raised to Good Neighbors Network.

Seeing kids choose to help others is something really special. Their kindness, generosity, and big hearts remind us that making a difference doesn't depend on your age!

Good Neighbors Network is proud to partner with nine schools across District 214 , ensuring that students and families have the support they need to thrive.

From our Neighbors Care Essential Items Pantry to winter gear distributions, and our Holiday Sponsor-A-Family Program, we're committed to meeting immediate needs with dignity and compassion.

As students prepare for their futures, our EmpowerED Program provides graduation incentives and dorm room kits to help them take the next step with confidence.

We're also honored to invest in students through two needs-based scholarships: the Dr. Mario Perez International Newcomers Scholarship, supporting first-generation graduates from the International Newcomers Academy, and the Patrick Kain & Primrose Vanguard Scholarship, recognizing Vanguard students who demonstrate resilience, leadership, and perseverance.

Together, these scholarships help remove barriers and open doors to higher education and the trades. Because every student deserves the opportunity to succeed—and every neighbor deserves to know their community believes in them. 💙

For students living in hotels through periods of housing instability, comfort and normalcy can be hard to come by. Something as simple as having their own book, a soft throw blanket, or clean towels can make a difficult situation feel a little more manageable.

We try to provide items that are not only useful but personal, things that help students feel cared for, comforted, and seen during an incredibly hard time. 💛

Every student deserves warmth, dignity, and something to call their own.

For students experiencing housing instability, something as simple as access to groceries can become another challenge.

That’s why we work to make support accessible. Connecting students and families with food resources closer to where they are, not just where they attend school. Because care should never depend on zip code.
