Some interesting events occurring on June 27!
DEC Forester Luke Van der Veur will be walking with us to share information about the plants, animals and ecology of the the east branch Nature Preserve.
In addition, UPSTATE ART WEEKEND will be represented on the East Branch Nature Preserve Trail!!! Art is going to be there all of the time; Artist Reception , to which public is invited, will be held in the afternoon. TIMES FOR ALL EVENTS TO BE SHARED SOON!!

Our last school field trip of the year! What a fun time was had on the East Branch Nature Preserve trail! From Water Cycle review to finding microscopic communities, making Sound Maps and Matching Colors in Nature, these kids had fun. The "Margaretville Eagle" even made an appearance as the students left the trail!!!
Our school group experiences are based on NYS Learning Standards in Science, Social Studies and even sometimes English and Math!!! More information on how you can attend will be posted on FB at the end of the summer!

Had a blast, in the Gallery and along the East Branch Nature Preserve today!! From water cycle review to looking at communities of all sorts of insects and tiny creatures, these visitors were very enthusiastic about learning. Thanks for the visit, kids!!!
We base our field trips on New York State learning standards, both and science and social studies. Let us know if you want to set something up for next school year! Happy summer!

Need a low key activity this weekend? The Catskill Water Discovery Center will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 12 to 4. Step on in and learn about the history of the reservoirs and the water system here in the Catskills.
Bring the kids in to do some hands-on water cycle activities.
And if the rain lets up, take a walk on the East Branch Nature Preserve trail.
It’s all waiting for you in Arkville, free of charge!

Had a wonderful morning with our new friends from the Bovina Montessori School! The rain stayed away as we learned about water conservation and the water cycle, in the CWDC Gallery and the EBNP Trail.
